Every Day Matters and Every Action Matters
Personally, the corporate world stopped working for me…so I stopped working for it. I can’t say that it’s always been easy, but working for myself has allowed me the opportunity to spend as much time as possible with my family while enjoying a profession that I love. I worked for some larger companies, and then I worked for a couple of small companies. What I found was that with small companies, it mattered when I showed up. Let’s face it, in a company of 100,000+ employees, life would easily go on if I didn’t show up. So I said goodbye to the corporate world…and I really don’t think we miss each other all that much.
I have found that on the small business side, every day matters and every action matters. But even in this small business world, I found that my professional life was still lacking. I mattered, but I was living someone else’s dream. I wanted a job where I could help others fulfill their dreams but also achieve my desired life-work balance. And that’s what led me to start my own accounting firm.
For those of you interested in pedigrees, I have an MBA from Duke University. I was part of their inaugural Cross Continent MBA program, graduating in 2002. I also graduated with an accounting degree from Montclair State University. Oddly enough, I was just a few credits shy of a music degree from Montclair State, as well. I love music, particularly the piano. I don’t play nearly as often as I used to, but the fire is still there. I’m also a proud Disneyphile. On the community side, I volunteer for AYSO, Santa Margarita Little League and the Duke University Alumni Admissions Committee. There’s a good chance that if you don’t find me at the office, I’m out with my family having a good time.
Thank you for visiting my website and for giving me the opportunity to be of service to you.
